Getting Surgeons To Engage With and Believe Their Performance Metrics

In Part 4 of this 5 part series, we'll discuss the issues that many perioperative teams face, with hundreds of reports floating around that surgeons often don’t see or pay attention to. Often these reports require a lot of work to assemble manually and are at odds with each other. There is no single source of truth, the data is hard to access and often surgeons and administrators don’t engage with the data and metrics, leading to decisions being made in ad-hoc ways, often based on anecdotal evidence.

There is a far better way - creating one source of truth and distributing performance metrics that matter through “mobile push” and making them available through a simple web tool. More importantly, by identifying anomalies, trends and patterns in the data that help surgeons do better, the purpose of reporting is much more to drive the right behavior than to purely judge and score providers - leading to far greater adoption and engagement.
